This is the discussion question. When you finish it, there are two of my classmates to reply to their posts.

Do you agree with the statement that “nothing great
would ever be built if people knew in advance what the
real costs and challenges were”?
First post to reply:
To some extent, it has a side of truth. If a person knows what risks he or she will face, they will
be reluctant to start their project. Usually most of the projects faces some issues that never
come over thier head. No matter how hard you try to develop plans and strategies for your
project, you will face some difficulties. For example, when you develop a financial plan for the
cost of your project before you starting it and its duration is like one year, may you face a
changing in taxes like before some years when the taxes are jumping from 5% to 15%. That’s
will make a huge effect in your finanicaal plan. But in my personal opinion, there are a lot of
risky people if they believe that the project is woth. This statement dose not apply for
evreyone! Especially to succsessful entrepreneurs. They often believe that the more challanges
there are, the more success. So, I don’t agree.
Second post to reply:
yes, I agree with the statement. Great things and inventions, in my opinion, take a lot of effort
and dedication, and failures are a part of that process, so if people were aware of the failures
and obstacles ahead of time, they would not take the risk. We have many examples of scientists
and outstanding inventors who began their careers without much thought. All of the difficulties
and costs were part of the process, and they accepted them because they believed there was a
chance of success. On the other hand, if we knew all of the problems ahead of time, the
person’s morale would suffer greatly. It is essentially a psychological phenomenon that is
dependent on the individual’s thought process. If a person wants to know all of the risks, costs,
and problems before proceeding with the idea, then it is not a brilliant invention in my
opinion.Because inventions are new in nature, obstacles and costs for any stage of the process
cannot be calculated. When we begin to calculate the risk and difficulty of any project, we
frequently find that the project is closed by the organization owing to its high risk. However, if a
company begins a project and obstacles and risks arise along the process, the organization is
prepared to meet those challenges since they have already invested in the process. So, in my
opinion, we should pursue inventions since they provide us with new directions in our lives.
