IMPORTANT NOTES THAT WILL GUIDE YOU WHEN WRITING THIS ASSIGNMENT
The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is a psychological assessment that measures how you perceive the world and act in it. The MBTI was designed to assist people who are interested in using their strengths to their full potential. The MBTI can be used as a professional tool in career counseling and organizational development. Don’t hesitate, take your first step towards personal fulfillment by taking the test today!
This post will not only outline how to register for the MBTI online, but I am also going to break down some of the kinds of information found within an online typing assessment that you won’t find anywhere else on the Internet.
The goal of this series is to give you a framework for understanding what is discussed within each section so that you can gain more knowledge about yourself and your own personality type along the way. Like any test, there are multiple possible interpretations so no one interpretation should be considered “correct”. If anything, I hope this information inspires you to think about yourself from a different perspective and maybe even spark some curiosity about what kind of person you might be- or maybe even become!
What is an Online Typing Assessment?***
Section: Online typing assessments are computer-based tests that assesses one’s ability either via typing or handwriting at different speeds. They may test skills relating to punctuation, grammar, spelling or fluency (as in speed). The reason why online typing assessments may differ from paper-based tests is because they allow users to work at their own pace without having the pressure of being timed. This way users can focus on improving rather than getting frustrated with checking timers constantly or being distracted by other things while working on paper-based tests like grammar and punctuation quizzes or sentence completion exercises.
Takeaway: Online typing assessments are computerized tests used mainly as job interviews but can also be helpful when:
The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is a psychological assessment that measures how you perceive the world and act in it.
There are two types of MBTI assessment, the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and Keirsey Temperament Sorter (KTS).
The MBTI is used to understand how various personality traits fit together, and whether or not they are compatible.
The KTS can be used to determine which temperaments a person most closely resembles.
You do not have to be an introvert or an extrovert to take the test, but with that said all data will be interpreted based on those two categories.
The MBTI is simply a way of understanding your personality better than you know yourself.
Section: The MBTI can be used to understand your personality better than you know yourself. There are four different scales that can help you understand the way you relate to other people:
Introversion-Extroversion (I-E)
Section: Introverts are often known for being quiet, reserved and introspective. Extroverts are more likely to be outspoken, sociable and spontaneous.
Relating to others: Social Introverts like reading or watching movies alone. Social Extraverts like going places with others or having parties.
Section: Thinker-Feeler (T-F)
Section: Thinkers tend to prefer thinking over feeling and love intellectual conversations. Feelers prefer expressing themselves through action and relationships.
Relating to others: Thinking Introverts take time before they express their thoughts and opinions, while Feeling Introverts feel the need to communicate their feelings right away. Thinking Extraverts want to talk about things because they feel best when they do so, while Feeling Extraverts enjoy talking about subjects that give them pleasure. Thinkers spend a lot of time studying new information while Feelers see life as one giant experience that is part of living. Thinkers move from one idea or subject quickly, while Feelers have a tendency to linger on an idea until it feels complete.
