Introduction

There are many inventions, techniques and styles of photography that have shaped photography today. I’ll provide you with a list of them so that you can name one yourself!

Ansel Adams

Ansel Adams was a master of black and white photography, landscape and studio photography, portraiture and documentary work. He worked with his wife Nancy Lyons Adams to create a series of photographs that were part of the American West’s history. These pictures are called “The California Trilogy”. His most famous works include:

HDR

HDR is a technique that uses multiple exposures of the same scene, usually taken at different exposure levels. The result is an image with more detail and dynamic range than a single shot would provide.

HDR can be used to create a wide range of effects, including but not limited to:

• Depth of field—A blurry object in focus (such as your hand) will appear closer than it actually is when viewed through an HDR photo. To create this effect, select one or more points on your subject and bracketing them by +1 EV to -1 EV in exposure compensation until you have captured as much light as possible; then take another shot at +1 EV over what was previously captured for each point selected. This process should be repeated until all points are covered by their corresponding values; then combine all individual images into one file using software such as Adobe Photoshop Lightroom or Photoshop Elements 11+.

Direct Light

Direct light is the light that comes from the sun. It’s important for landscape photography, as it can be used to create a feeling of depth in your photographs.

This is a technique that uses the same principle as using your camera’s meter to determine exposure, but instead of using this information to adjust your exposure settings in the viewfinder, you use it to determine where you want to place your subject in relation to the background. You can then take one picture with no flash and another without any fill light (if necessary) so that they’re both properly exposed for what they are: two separate images with different lighting conditions.

Benefits: You aren’t relying on technology; you’re taking control over what appears onscreen by controlling how much light enters each image via fill light/backgrounds and how much comes from having two cameras set up separately—that way both shots look authentic because they were taken at different times/locations during one single shoot! This gives photographers more creative freedom when shooting portraits or other scenes involving multiple subjects because now there’s no need for them all being posed differently when possible unless absolutely necessary…and even then if someone wants something specific done differently than another person might prefer then just ask him/her nicely instead of having an argument over who gets which pose first time around 🙂

Polaroid film is a type of instant film that can be used in cameras. It was invented by Edwin Land, who worked for Polaroid Corporation from 1952 to 1968. The first camera using this type of film was called the Snapshot 545, which was released in 1963 after years of development and testing.

The Polaroid Corporation has since become one of America’s largest businesses with more than $5 billion in annual revenue and over 10,000 employees worldwide!

Robert Frank​.

Robert Frank was a photographer who worked in the late 1960s and early 1970s. He was one of the pioneers of the “observation” style of photography, which focuses on capturing mundane and banal aspects of life with little or no intervention. In this way, he became known as an artist that painted with light rather than brush strokes.

Frank’s work has been praised by many as being beautiful, even when it depicts something less than idealistic or inspiring—a concept which may be difficult for some viewers to grasp because most people today prefer their imagery optimistic or uplifting.
