4. Post-9/11 terrorist event: In this section, describe the second terrorist event that is being used for comparison. The description of this terrorist event must include the nature of the event, methods used by the terrorists, and eventual outcome of the event.
5. Terrorist events comparison: In this section, compare and contrast the two terrorist events that were described in the previous sections. Suggested areas for comparison include (1) motivations for attacks, (2) methods of attack, (3) impact on society, and (4) lessons learned from attacks that can be used to develop counterterrorist strategies. On April 19, 1995, a bomb exploded at the Alfred P. Murrah federal building in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The bombing killed 168 people and injured more than 800 others. Timothy McVeigh was responsible for planting this bomb and he was one of the perpetrators in the Oklahoma City bombing. He had been a member of the militia group The Turner Diaries since he was 17 years old so he knew how to make explosives before this event happened.
On April 19, 1995, a bomb exploded at the Alfred P. Murrah federal building in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The building was used by the U.S. Department of Justice and housed many federal employees who worked on cases involving domestic terrorism or hate crimes against racial minorities such as Native Americans and African Americans.
The explosion killed 168 people and injured over 800 more people (1). A total of 24 individuals were found guilty for their involvement with this crime; these included Timothy McVeigh (2), Terry Nichols (3), Michael Fortier (4), and David McSorley (5).

On April 19th, 1995, Timothy McVeigh drove to Oklahoma City with the intent of recruiting members for his group by claiming that Arabs were planning to kill Americans on the day after Labor Day 1994 (the day before).
He parked his truck in front of an IRS building with explosives and planned to detonate them when people came out of their offices at 9:02AM (the time they opened) which they did not do because they hadn’t seen anything suspicious yet so they continued working until 9:03AM then everyone evacuated from the building and ran away from there but one person stayed behind who was killed by flying debris from nearby buildings which caught fire due to being filled with gasoline bombs that exploded afterwards causing multiple deaths including those who helped rescue victims after being injured themselves during rescue efforts.”
