If they say yes then they receive praise; if not then they receive negative feedback such as being told “No!”

What role do desire and desire-belief psychology play in this process?

There is no single theory of mind. Instead, it is a continuum that spans from infants’ ability to infer what others are thinking and feeling through simple reasoning, to their ability for more complex forms of theory-of-mind such as false belief understanding, mentalizing and intentionality understanding (Alderman & Medin, 1989).

Theories of mind can be assessed using multiple methods including:

What developmental changes occur in acquiring a theory of mind?
