Evidence translation begins with the identification of a problem or concern. Reflect upon the eight national practice problems presented in the Global Burden of Disease Research. Select one of the practice problems to address the following.

· From a global/nationwide perspective, how does the selected practice problem impact nurses, nursing care, healthcare organizations, and the quality of care being provided?

· Identify the national level key stakeholders who are affected by the practice problem and stakeholders involved in resolution.

· Are clinical practice guidelines used to address this problem? Why or why not? If used, provide a brief overview of the CPG. If a CPG is not used, propose an intervention that could be implemented on a national scale to address the problem.

The burden of noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) is a pressing issue for nurses, healthcare organizations, and the quality of care being provided globally. NCDs are the leading cause of death in the world, and their impact is far-reaching. In this essay, we will explore how NCDs affect nurses, nursing care, healthcare organizations, and the quality of care being provided from a global perspective.

Noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) have become a major concern in recent years, as they account for a large proportion of global deaths. As a result, the impact of NCDs on nurses, nursing care, healthcare organizations, and quality of care must be addressed. According to a recent study by R Devi et al. (2020), nurses are the most exposed to the burden of NCDs, as they are responsible for providing direct care to those affected. Furthermore, the study found that nurses must use evidence-based practices to ensure quality care and manage NCDs. This is especially true for nurses who are providing care in rural areas, as they are more likely to be exposed to the burden of NCDs due to limited access to healthcare resources. Additionally, the study found that healthcare organizations must provide additional training and resources for nurses in order to address NCDs and ensure quality care. The study concluded that nurses are essential in managing NCDs and improving quality of care, and healthcare organizations must provide the necessary support to ensure nurses can deliver the best care.

These key stakeholders can include individuals and organizations at the local, national, and international level and any number of these stakeholders can play a role in making a lasting impact on the prevalence of NCDs in a given population. For example, the World Health Organization (WHO) can lead the way in developing evidence-based public health policy and health promotion initiatives, while national governments can play a role in implementing these initiatives and in providing financial support for them. Additionally, healthcare providers, academia, private industry, civil society, and the media can all play a role in developing and implementing effective NCD resolution strategies at the local and national level. As such, it is vital to identify these key stakeholders and understand the role each can play in order to develop effective resolution strategies for NCDs.

The World Health Organization (2007) has assessed the usefulness of clinical practice guidelines in addressing noncommunicable diseases and the possibility of implementing interventions on a national scale. In their assessment, they found that despite the potential for interventions to be effective, there are several obstacles that need to be overcome in order to ensure their successful and widespread implementation. These include the lack of financial resources, inadequate infrastructure, limited expertise, and a lack of political will to implement the interventions. In addition, there is a need for the development of effective monitoring and evaluation systems to measure the impact of interventions and ensure their sustainability. Furthermore, there is a need for strong and effective leadership at the national and regional levels in order to ensure the implementation of evidence-based interventions. Finally, there is a need for greater cooperation between countries in order to foster the development and implementation of effective interventions. All of these factors must be taken into account in order to ensure the successful and widespread implementation of interventions to address noncommunicable diseases on a national scale.

In conclusion, the chosen practice problem from the Global Burden of Disease Research highlights the importance of nurses in providing care and the need for clinical practice guidelines to address various global health issues. While the impact of the selected practice problem on the quality of care being provided can be seen on a national level, it is important to acknowledge the key stakeholders involved both locally and globally. Clinical practice guidelines have been employed to provide guidance in addressing the issue; nonetheless, when such guidelines cannot be employed, specific interventions can be implemented to address the problem on a national scale and improve healthcare overall.
