I found out that there are two different ways of controlling the bias point of a transistor: base and emitter feedback. The base control is much older and more familiar to engineers, but emitter-base feedback can be more accurate over longer ranges (like when temperatures change).
You may have heard that the base bias point is more stable than the emitter bias point. But what does this mean, and how does it affect your design?
To understand, you need to understand how each type of device works.
Base bias is when a transistor operates at its maximum current or voltage value at room temperature (25°C). For example, if you want your transistor to turn on with 10V on its base but only hold 9V off his collector after passing through two other stages of amplification, then he’ll do just fine with no emitter feedback until he gets hotter than 25 degrees Celsius—at which point both his collector and gate will be forced down by heat sinks or resistors in order for him not be destroyed by breakdown between those two points!
The base bias point tends to move up as the temperature increases. This is because the base is biased at a certain temperature, but it’s not stable.

Base-emitter feedback is only useful for small temperature changes, so it’s not useful for larger changes. This can be seen in the figure below:
As you can see from the graph, base-emitter feedback works best over a range of about 1 Kelvin (K). In order to correct for a large change in temperature (say from room temperature, 25°C), there needs to be a much larger deviation from 25°C than there would be if you were just using base bias alone.
Emitter inductance reduces transition losses, which means that the change in current is slower. This makes the transistor more stable and less susceptible to temperature changes.
Emitter-base feedback is a way of controlling current and voltage in transistors. It’s used in many different circuits, including amplifiers, oscillators and switches.
The emitter-base junction has an electric field around it that can be used to control the flow of electrons through it. The base acts as a mirror image of this electric field and so when you apply an electric field across your circuit, it deflects some of the electrons towards its surface (the emitter). This means that if you apply another voltage across your transistor then this current will flow into or out from your circuit depending on whether or not there’s enough room for it inside there!
